Called a Atishaya Kshetra (Place of Salvation), Tijara Jain Temple is Located 110 Km from Delhi and 55 Km from Alwar Around the Delhi-Alwar Highway. It’s a popular pilgrimage site for the Jains and also a place of excellent interest for its early history fans.

WHAT TO FIND THERE?

During an excavation in 1956 the primary deity of Chandra Prabhu, the eighth Tirthankar was discovered and the temple had been established. The 15 inches idol of Chandra Prabhu in Padmasana Mudra looks really lovely and is constructed from white marble.

This idol was set up on the 3rd day of Vishakha Shukla V.S 1554, in accordance with the inscription. Later a second 8 inches black idol of Chandra Prabhu was found at the same lotus position in the calendar year 1972.

This was discovered under the expert supervision of Pujya Acharya Nirmal Sagarji Maharaj. The place recovered as a pilgrimage after both the idols were also installed.

The temple is rectangular in shape that provides a gorgeous look to its structure using a sky-high pinnacle. The major hall interior has a capacity to hold 2000 individuals at one time. The insides were performed beautifully with glass function and vibrant paintings depicting the mythical stories.

There’s a strong belief that each of the prayers done with true intensions were replied here and also the’Kundli Dust’ work as a cure for all of the sorrows and disorder.
